That's all good advice, but I think what he's asking is how many people turn JS off. As of the most recent statistics I've seen, none. OK, maybe like 1 to 2% of users will have it blocked, but that's minimal enough to ignore. In anycase though, keep in mind what everyone else said, don't use it for sensitive data, and keep in mind that there is very little that you can't do with pure css.

How many people don't use Javascript? I bet there are only a handful compared to Javascript users. Almost all popular sites now requires you have Javascript. Take youtube for example.

And you can simply place this in your code in case one of your visitors has JS turned off...

It depends, if you are running things like videos you would I guess but there are plenty of sites that dont use java.
