TalkFreelance server move
This notice is to let the community know that we are planning to move TalkFreelance to a new server sometime this week. The community might be inactive for a brief period of time in which the board will most likely be closed for posting.
Either me or the representative of the company will update the community on the precise move time in this thread so you can manage your business accordingly.
Our new web hosting home and server will be managed by www.handsonwebhosting.com

Hey Folks,
I just wanted to inform everyone that the server will be down for maintenance tonight at approx 11pm CST for a site move. We'll be moving the current TalkFreelance Forums to a new server along with backups etc too.
I'll update this thread when we start and complete the server move. Look for the downtime to last less than 2 hours starting at 11pm CST.
Thanks,
Conor

Thank you Conor. I hate to be a pain but what time would that be for the UK?

Okay thank you, I always make errors when converting from US to UK time (I get confused by all the abbreviations :P).

I'll be starting the move of the server in the next few minutes and will update this thread when everything has been completed to the new server.

There's some issues with the site moving over to the new server. I've re-enabled the site here on the original server so that we do not suffer longer downtime.
I will be continuing to move files in the background, so the site MAY appear to run a little more sluggish than normal. Once the files are completed, I'll run a final database dump and import to the new machine and re-point the site.
I'm sorry for the outage over the past hour guys - hopefully the rest of the move will proceed as normal and we'll be 100% here before the sun pops up.
