As much as I dont like the Democrat's policies, I would rather see a Democrat win fairly than a Republican (who I agree with in all ways) win because everyone who disagrees with him was silenced.
I'm not getting involved in McCain vs Obama, but I will defend the values of basic democracy (well constitutional republic, but you get the idea).

I don't mean we should enforce it, I just believe it's wrong if someone is voting for someone because of their race, gender, status, etc. I am not voting for Obama because he is black, I would vote for him because I support his ideas.

You really are listening to your straight legged parents that have been republicans because that's how they were brought up, if you are for McCain.
Obama is best for our country, so don't speak about him if you don't know about him. Watch a speech he does on TV etc.
I am a true republican too.

@okaymatt Senator and Governor is a huge typo. You have yet to understand I DON'T THINK ARNOLD SHOULD BE VP. I was saying CALIFORNIA based on electoral votes, seeing as we are a democratic state, it shouldn't apply to anything to McCain. I am simply saying California as an example of the electoral votes possible for him. I said you shouldn't be able to vote because from what I have seen, you are basing your vote based on her appearance and the fact that she is a female. It shouldn't matter, it should be their views that matter. I say that because it proves McCain chose her to steal from Hillarys votes.
So your saying based on peoples own opinions, they are wrong? So your stating that it's their parents that made them like McCain? This country is based on letting people vote, if you are saying that they are wrong because it's not what you want, that's wrong... I don't support McCain, but I will support the people who like his values. I think this quote fits best "I may disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
What values has McCain expressed that make you hate him? As far as I can see, he is as right winged as they come. If you are supportive of Obamas ideas, wouldn't you be considered a democrat, or would like to be a democrat?
And I am not listening to my parents, thank you! I am actually taking Government and Econ at school.

I've seen McCain say some of the most STUPID things, lie, etc. I love to see Obama get into his debates because he is right 99% of the time. The only major difference I see is the taxes, but honestly I am willing to let something like that go when our country is in such a need.
McCain thinks our country is doing better than it ever has, but he is a millionaire and our dollar is dropping rapidly. WE NEED CHANGE.
EDIT: Also, McCain is war crazy. I think Obama will make the right decision if war is ever needed. Right now I am baffled as to why we are spending so much in Iraq while our fellow American's and our education system suffers.

This is from your POV, you should back issues with facts. If he was right on 99% of issues, wouldn't 99% of people in theory vote for him?

No, that's not true. Also, how do you define what is 'right'? It's all subjective. You could say Bush is 'right' 99% of the time (based on what he and others believe), but that doesn't mean his approval rating is 99%, because not everyone will see eye to eye with his definition of what is 'right'.
So much for me staying out of this.

You sound like you are a socialist and big government believer, not a small government, low-tax believer, which would make you a Democrat, think your registered to the wrong party, unless we are talking pre-Ragen administration.
