I an extremely offended that you would suggest that somebody connected to the auction would bid, the bid is 100% genuine, and I also have had quite a few other people PM me with questions who are also interested in bidding.

Making a fake bid would be fraud, that is not a claim to be lightly thrown around.

Honestly, if you don't have any interest in the sale why do people find it so necessary to get involved (isn't aimed at Dante). Seems to be a group of users on here at the moment who want to do nothing but be negative towards the forum, why I don't know as it just makes them look pathetic.

We can provide speculation when the circumstances surrounding the auction attempts have been at best "off", especially when the bid is anonymous.
Thanks for your concern CPR.

"Here, buy my car but you must keep our logo and web address on the sides, roof and bumper sticker."
I do wish all the best with the same, this place really does need a nice, caring, devoted mother owner. However, you're not making it easy for yourselves!

I honestly don't know why people are posting their two cents and opinions as well throwing accusations around when they a.) are not interested in purchasing b.) have no definitive proof of such a claim.
If the owner wants to sell it for 100k with an absurd clause, then that's his right to do so. However, since everyone is wanting to go ahead offer their personal opinions here, personally speaking I think 5k for this site is much too low. TF is a traffic workhorse.

With your logic, I surely hope you no longer utilize eBay given that you can no longer see the individual making bids on any item.

I use eBay quite often to set the record straight, but you see we don't have the various features you get when using email in regards to verification and seller trustworthiness. In this case we just have some past nuances.
Anyway. We'll just see in 11 days or whatever it is if the site is really sold.
If it is, bravo. If it isn't.. well.. you know.

You want to see who is making bids but then whine that since it's anonymous then it must be those affiliated with the TFL sale that are making bids.
Again with your logic you shouldn't even bother using ebay. You cannot see who is bidding on an item if you are another buyer. You don't want to bid on an item that has people affiliated with the sale making bids since they're essentially anonymous to all but the seller .
:Insert eye rolling emoticon here to imply douchebaggery:
