I don't see it as an option that would make a lot of sense. Both communities have different characters, charm and specialties. I'd hate to spoil that.

Btw, do you have any technical plans about TF like new systems, site etc. ?

Definitely not dark and cold. In fact, I want to brighten things up a bit, create more breathing room and space (feels a bit cluttered), with focus on content, not bright graphical elements of the site.
As far as "new systems", in the long-term, yes, there are some ideas, among which is a crowdsourcing contest-like marketplace, social/professional applications and tools of some sort that can help webmasters and designers manage their skills and maximize income, but its way too early to tell. We will see how the forum performs in the next 10-12 months. There is lots of basic work ahead as it is.

I would LOVE to see a more clean and sharp skin on TFL. Even though it's not the most important change, it's the one I'm personally looking forward to the most

I don't think the current skin kicked up much of a fuss when it was introduced. I think the number who liked it outweigh the number who didn't by far, it's just not everyone's cup of tea.
It will be nice to see things freshen though, as you said I do find a bit cluttered and overwhelming at times.

To follow-up on my earlier update, we have very clear objectives on the to-do list for this upcoming week, among which is the creation of proactive account screening processes to try and stop spammers BEFORE they get a chance to spam, and also to move TalkFreelance to a new server. Hopefully you will start noticing some of the changes as well, as they come into action.

Hi Artashes, finally logged on here after a break. Great to see the site has sold to someone who already knew a bit about the forum - certainly addresses my main worry that the new owner might not have very good knowledge of the forum's past or it's sense of community.
Best of luck getting the (good) forum activity up - suffice to say I'll be celebrating if and when it gets busier around here.

Hey I'm probably a bit late on this but I'd like to give you a warm welcome with a hug! I haven't around as of late due to other things in life, but I plan to get back into my career so I will visit more often now. TFL has always been a nice close knit community, just lacking something. Hopefully things will begin to improve, and I'm sure you'll do a great job! Here if ya need any help.

Hey Gatt, thank you very much for your warm wishes. It is especially nice to hear words of encouragement from most long-time members of TF!

Glad to hear that someone with reason finally took over. Passion is a predominant factor versus the potential profitability. I have lost my interest a while back for Talkfreelance but as i read through these introductions, i can see hope.
I will stick around to watch the change

And if you happen to have any designs for the market place...
Always loved your designs.
