To OP
Seems you are looking affordable web host and you should be able to find a quality web host here. Personally, I would recommend you to browse and analyze several posts here along with browsing web hosting offer section. I am sure this will help you in getting your next reliable host.

There are plenty of smaller web hosts around, you just have to look closely for them.

I used a cheap and small host before, and the server seemed to be down most of the time. Now that I switched to better ones, I feel better too, a couple of dollars lighter, but satisfied with my service.

There are already many well-established web hosting firms nowadays that offer affordable web site hosting plans with excellent capacity and quality. This just gets to show that the market of budgeted web hosting is lively and competitive.

Surely there are small webhosting companies worth trying. But unfortunately, because of the fact that they are small, not lots of people get to try them, so they kinda remain unknown.
I personally have never used a small webhost, but I wouldn't go away from one if it's reliable.

Try to gather as many reviews about its web hosting services (both positive and negative) and serve these as basis in choosing web host providers.

Do not go to the sites that say top 10 hosting or anything of the likes because those are affiliate sites and for them the best host will be the one that pays them the most for passing you on to them.

Has anyone mentioned Hawkhost? Probably the best "small host" out there in both my opinion and many users, check webhostingtalk.com and you will see.

Does its technical support function 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (often abbreviated 24/7), all year around?
Note that the majority of web masters will not accept a host which does not have staff working on weekends or public holidays.

If you ask me, I can recommend you to read customer hosting reviews at Webhostingstuff, Webhostingjury and also Hostjury review sites!
