I didn't say a new skin would turn things around but there were other things as well that was told to us a year ago that have never happened. Any input and suggestions are useless if it's never going to materialize.
There are ways to promote a site but there is a cost involved which seems to me that the owner does not want to invest anymore capital to get it going.
Staff should have been selected more carefully from people who had more knowledge in freelancing, maybe they are but I see staff posting irrelevant posts in general discussion and no where else.
I'm not trying to make anyone mad but it's very sad to see the shape of talkfreelance in the condition it's in with no light at the end of the tunnel.

Also with a forum on freelance web development and design you would figure it be up to date with the latest versions of vbulletin.

It's certainly nothing to do with not wanting to invest anymore capital. Once the plans that are in place have been implemented you'll realise it'll have cost a considerable amount of money.
The progress has been very slow but with a full time job and other communities / sites I'm guessing it's pretty hard for Artashes to dedicate the amount of time needed to really get things moving.
You'll be glad to know I think the design(s) are going to be finalised shortly, I'm not sure which or how the final design will be chosen but once it is it shouldn't take too long to get coded up. That'll be a huge step forward in my eyes and means that time can then be used to start getting the ball rolling on developing the new features.

cpr I and other members don't know what your talking about as we are kept in the dark and told nothing about what is going on.
your damn right the progress is slow, its been over a year so there really is no excuse.
The designs are going to be finalized shortly. We were told that months and months ago so its really hard to believe what your telling us.
I hate to sound this negative but its hard to take anything serious that is being said that has already been told to you before. Actions speak louder than words!

The skin is just a facelift and not what I rely on making a difference. There is plenty of development work, virtually dozens of ideas of what to create and how. Everyone has a way and/or an idea of how to go about it. I just need to get my head around on how to properly organize the process, how and who to delegate to. As Chris mentioned, TF is one of many priorities. Yes, it takes time, but I am not worried. The outlook is very positive for this year.

No argument there. Expect some more action by end of April. (Boy do I hate placing ETAs on those!!)

Well I hope to see things happen soon. I feel like long time members keep disappearing, there's really only a few left,
