Oh my god, the iPhone :O
Okay, its the best thing I have ever seen. Being crazy for phones I usually have the latest, but by Verizon. Since Verizon isn't doing their job of delivering a decent handset to me I am thinking of going to AT&T (like there is a 99% chance of me moving.)
So I paid $530 for the Voyager which was all hyped but is honestly garbage.
Benefits of the iPhone: - Email
- Internet
- 3G (iPhone2)
- I can carry less (no iTouch)
I mean its the best phone available in the USA. However, AT&T is a HUGE turn off. Their online representative tried to tell me they have better coverage than Verizon.
http://imagedirect.us/uploads/coverage.1211940055.png - You be the judge.
After this, the lady tells me Verizon is ALWAYS roaming on AT&T's network. Currently that is impossible Verizon is CDMA and AT&T is GSM.
So is paying loads more, going to some crazy network that likes to change its name every other day a good business move?
What are your thoughts? Please give me some info if you have AT&T. Verizon is fantastic with support. I can walk in the store and tell them my phone isn't working and they give me a NEW phone. I know I won't be able to do this with the iPhone but is AT&T an 'OK' company?

Yes, I love my electronics. Why not? Since I have been working on the internet, money only seems to be a number to me.. That must stay positive .

Well that happens with Verizon too, lol. Charges are my last worry, because I can fix that.

Can't you get it cheaper with a contract?

Money Management? You will soon understand the true value of money.
I just recently got a wake up call, I spent 2 weeks of worth on some stupid tires to get me back and forth to work everyday in the city. Took them 30 minutes to install, me 40 hours to work for, and let alone those were the cheapest tires in the store. I still had to push out $75 to cover the rest.
If you spend it excessively you will soon run out when you need it most.
I am only looking forward to the new App Store update, I have been developing an application, and I hopefully will be able to distribute it through the store. No word as of yet though.

I suggest another GSM network, and a hacked iPhone? I'm currently on T-Mobile and have no issues but, its just a suggestion of not having to be on ATT.

I've been with tmobile. I hated it. I've been a 4 year customer of Cingular/ATT ever since.
But to say I'm 100% happy with it, would be a lie. But I guess out of all the carriers now, Cingular seems to be the least of the evils.
And as for phones go - ATT sucks at phones. They have iPhone, which will be losing it's exclusivity with ATT at the end of this year (meaning, you, as a Verizon customer, will be able to purchase and use it with your service). Verizon is constantly pumping out new phones with cool gadgets.
If it wasn't for Verizon's higher rates, and horrible service signal, then I'd be on their boat right now instead of ATT's.

@phractured- I'm on a contact, thats why it was more expensive.
@Garrett- I am very good at managing my money and at my age when you have no bills, its the best time to have a little fun. Hopefully (if everything goes as planned) I will be getting an '09 Lancer here, so a car won't be a problem. I'm excited. $500 just really isn't a lot of money anymore in todays world.
@sujaykar- I have no idea what you have done to do this, but it had to be extensive.
@Bryan- AT&T has a 5 year exclusive contract, and we are just coming up on 1 year. Verizon WAS contact first, but Verizon truly laugh when Apple wanted a percent of the money every month. Really got them places, huh? Apple has made no plans to carry the iPhone to a GSM provider.
