Old  Help me please! Fixing a phone...

Hey..

I was really stupid and accidently left my phone in my jeans pocket and put it in the wash. Now, obviously, the phones broke. It turns on, and then goes a weird gray. Anyway, I have searched around and some quite weird results came up. Apparently, you have to put your phone in the oven at 125 degreese for 5 hours. (Now, I really think this is taking the piss) But, I don't wanna have to buy a new one, so im willing to try anything.

And warranty = no, because my uncle gave me the phone a while ago.

PLEASE, ANY HELP APRECIATED!

this happened to me dont worry about it, just put it in a warm cupboard (the heating tank cupboard) or just leave it in a warm place for a few days. You shouldnt of turned it on as you could of blown something as the water bridges connections. Try it anyway

Put it in the airing cuboard, let it dry out and pray.

Take everything off/out (covers, battery, sim card etc.) and leave in the airing cuboard. My old nokia went through the wash twice and still worked perfectly. Good luck!

p.s I dont think its wise putting your phone in the oven....

I fell into a canal while riding a bike (yeah, I know...) and my phone got soaked. I just took the seperate bits of the phone apart and put it in a warm but dry place for a few days and it's still working fine.

Haha! Sorry, I had to, I'm sure you understand. Hope you were ok.

Either way, take off the battery and let it air out.

Take the phone apart as much as you can. Get a hairdryer on it for like half hour and then leave it for about 7 hours. Then go get the hairdryer back on it and then try it. I saw this method on the gadget show and it worked for a phone, digital camera and something else. They put it in a swimming pool and blew the swimming pool up! They also put them in a fishing lake
